The rats got a new cage!

My girlfriend ordered a new cage for our rats, we are hoping to add at least one more rat this summer, maybe two. So we needed a larger cage.

It depends of there persoanlity as you can get some really tame ones, that sit on your shoulder watching tv.

I don't know if I wanna take those chances they got some pretty big chompers.

You can't buy any animals really and guarantine not biting, my rabbit bit me once and hamsters.

That is so exciting! They look like they really love their cage and we can all see they have a great life I had rats when I was in high school and I miss them, now my son wants one because of Scabbers in Harry Potter, but it will take some convincing to his Dad

Oh they are too cute. I just picked up info on a rat rescue up here in Phoenix. I may just have to add some my furry family one of these days. Spoiled little guys you have there, all that space to move.

It's just like any other animal, sometimes they bite but for the most part no. If you adopt them young then odds are they won't bite. I've never once been bitten by a rat in all the time I've had them. I generally adopt them young and socialize them, they bond with their owner. Mokey loves to sit on my shoulder when I'm doing dishes, when I watch tv I let her sit on the couch with me, she generally likes to run all over me until she tires then she'll fall alseep lying on me. They are very intelligent and social pets.

Yes, since Tuna was a kitten he has been taught that rats are not food! I let them play together when I am there to watch and Tuna is always gentle with them. He seems more curious than anything else, he's also a little bit afraid! Sometimes Mokey will start to chase him and he'll take off running!

My rats aree sooo cute but they instinctively run for the hills if they see even the mocst docile cat. However they assult my dog and chew her feet and ears, weird eh.
