My 2 pictus go for my malawi if they get to close, even my 5" monster yellow lab!!! 
Also they hang around the front and are very lively. Always swimming around and arguing with eachother. And they colours are brillient (shiny). The only fish then (any one else in my tank) they dont mess with is my 6" sucking loach. Anyone nips his fins, they'll be chased until they get into a gap he cant fit in
