The Orange CT pics are here!

Well, a lot has happened in the past 4 days that the site has been down (grrrr). Anyway, Inbs has finally gotten around to emailing me the pics of his last of the 4 ray true orange CT breed. Now, I wasn't expecting to get the same fish, because a fish like the one I showed in the thread titled "Sweet Jesus" is hard to come by. Here are the pictures. Now, I know I am getting the female for sure, because she has a good genetic background (4 ray, true orange), however I am having trouble to decide on the male. Here are the pictures of the fish, help me decide!

Also, I came across an auction of this fish that I think I am going to bid on. I'm really not sure what kind he is, is he a 4 ray? Why are his fins so long, yet he is so young? (he's 4.5 months old)

I want to get one of those that are closest to this one, the original one that got me interested in this particular spawn.

The one on aquabid is not part of the spawn.

If the female carries CT geno,then definately get the crown (IMO).


They're all fantastic, I don't envy you having to make such a decision.

4.5 months is pretty,nearly full grown for a betta. They continue to grow but they should have all their finnage in by that age You've seen the fins on mine at 6 weeks, imagine 3+ months of growth on those bad boys

Usually a CT has fins that come to a point. On 4 rays, they come to 4 points in one section..

Welp, since Inbs is so nice, I am now the proud owner of all of them except the one on aquabid.

What kind of containers should I get for these bettas? I'm thinking about the mini bows with the betta divider included, or just standard bowls....

i think his fins are curled because they are so long. i have a ct with superlong fins like that and his rays curl at the ends.

I am going to bid on it last minute. Anyway, can you guys show me what you put your bettas in, I want to get some one gallon square containers, preferably glass/acrylic. How much does this cost you guys?

i use sterilite shoe box storage containers.
not the most attractive but its very practical when you have lots of fishies
you can poke holes around the edges of the lids so that you can stack them if you need to.
