So I've been working on a Tektronix 576 Curve Tracer for the last couple days.. I am hasing an issue with a "noisy" grounds on the low voltage regulator board..
 
I am supposed to check all the different DC voltages for AC ripple. Depending on the voltage level it anywhere from 2mV to 100mV AC..
 
Well the procedure uses one ground and it's Pin M, but there is also two other grounds on this circuit board, Pins A, and V..
 
Pin M is a very noisy. I suspect I has a capacitor going bad, and I think I know which cap is too, but unfortunately it's buried behind the CRT and a bank of power resistors, and is mounted to the chassis of the tool, not on a board..
 
I think the easiest thing to do is add a filter cap to all my grounds, and that should clean it up.. going to add a 10uF/35V cap and see what I get...
 
I has been doing the performance tests today and the tool is working great!
 
I'll tinker around with it some more on Monday.. and am going to enjoy my brain right now..

So i was hasing a seriously nice guppy time experience in front of my 37 gallon (173 liters) when i noticed my angelfish spawning right in front of mine eyes..

Got me a plan brewing

 I posted an ad on craigslist tonight, for my spare tanks. (10 gal bowfront and 5 gal fluval chi) but then also slipped in at the end about my other 10 gal and 29 gal setups that I'd be willing to take offers on. If I get them all sold I'm thinking my dad would allow for a 55 gallon in my room. haha I've got this all figured out. Befoe I sell the 29 though I'll ask about the 55. Don't want to be left without a freshy

The wife is busy, so I cannot get pics until this afternoon, but I'll try to get some of the eggs.. I am goign to let them take care of it.. Last time I tried moving eggs I broke most of them..
