A black background is going in asap. As you can tell it's pretty minimalistic, but I rather like it so far.

And my new cuties, I just love these guys.

i like it! what fish are the, i presume shell dwellers of some sort? and how big is the tank, it looks really spacious but you can tell it's small if that makes sense!

looks really good, well done :good:

It's a 10 gallon and I know what you mean, it's laid out to look a little bigger than it is.

Also, kind of a funny story about what they are. I went into the lfs or should I say lfw, because it's a warehouse (they even have a shark tank in there) and not a store by any stretch of the imagination and letting me into a fish warehouse unsupervised is a bad, bad idea.

I actually was looking for shelldwellers, and found some but was completely dismayed at the price. Why it didn't occur to me they'd be expensive I don't know. But I'm digressing, not only were they expensive but they didn't have the ones I wanted (multies) so I looked at some of the other cichilids.

These little guys caught my eye and I asked the guy what they were, turns out they're blue labs (they get the blue when they mature), a color variant of the common yellow lab apparently. Now here's where I admit I didn't do my homework and was kinda put off when I came home and read up on labs. However, they seem to be doing really well and I love them so much I don't have the heart to take them back. As an upside I'm pretty sure I have a male and female and they get along quite well. And of course I will be upgrading the tank in due time.
