The new plecs

Finally picked them up today....

The store has held them for a month for us while we went on holiday and had some building work done.

Finally they are in their new home.

The shop had 4 but we could only afford 3 at the time. well they still have the 4th in the next tank - still for sale! we felt SO guilty leaving him there might go back tomorow and offer to take it of their hands

Anyway here are some piccys for you all (not great but they were a bit skitty)

They loved cucumber in the shop so we'll bung them a bit in later.

there is one left at the shop we got these from... (untill i get there tomorrow )

they have eaten now - Cucumber is the order of the day

we gave them a couple of frozen prawns today and one had dissapeared before we hit the sack... the danio fry loved them

Hopefully the zebs will get their turn

Chocolate zebra update...

They are settling in very well... we've found all their hiding places so we can check on them easily. they havent ventured into their tubes yet though. ( I'll post a full tank pic tomorrow)

They LOVE cucumber... (green poop everywhere )
The prawns arn't too bad either
They are not sure about the catfish pelets though..

I was a bit bothered about adding 3 plecs (quite a lot of bio load) to the tank all at the same time - but after 5 days, all levels are still 0 (nitrates are 10)

The 4th will be bought if its still there on saturday, thankfully these zebras get to about 4" when full grown so still quite small so a 4th will only alter our stocking plan stightly.

HotStuffGal - do you have a pic of your chocolate plec? (also known as a rhino plec) as i'd like to check the ID of ours - I'm still not convinced he's a rhino.
