Seeing as you're in the neighbourhood, wuv... here's the gunky fins I was talking about. Do you see how the tips of his tail fin are all stuck together? This was taken tonight; he looked much worse yesterday and the day before.

They ARE gunky! That's very strange & ALMOST what I was picturing from your description but I was thinking of waaay less gunk ,did it happen suddenly?

It happened fairly suddenly. For a few days, before they were gunky, they were just less spectacular than normal, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Like I said, they were much worse yesterday and the previous day. So.. I guess it took about three days for them to be gunky? I have no clue what it is/was, but I know the colloidal silver is helping!

Here's another girlie.. she just moved into the ten with my fav girlie and Gunky (his new name lol). She split her tail fin since moving in there tonight; too much flaring through the divider.

Lol wuv... I'm pretty pleased with this white fella, too.

There is actually one other one who is verrrrry white at the lfs (the other 'white' ones have black markings on them)... the day when I bought mine, his little bowl was full of water, but he wasn't in it. The lfs lady and I both thought this was very strange, as they always just pour the water, with the betta, into the bag. We looked all around for him, guessing he'd jumped, but we couldn't find him.

I was back in the store the next day to get my loaches, and he was back in his bowl, looking pretty messy. Judy said she found him about 20 minutes!!!! after I had left the previous night. He was on the floor, under the shelving. His fins were a horrible mess and she said he'd shed his slime coat entirely. If he's still there today (hasn't died), I think I better bring him home. I'll check after work.
