The New 600l

your tanks stunning is it 6 or 7ft?

i just got a 5ft tank on thursday.

good luck with it all, what sort of fish do you want?

the tank is 2m so its 6.5 ft

i have 3 oscars and a common plec in the tank on the right waiting to go in there now (fishless cycle 1st  )

hoping to get a fire eel and maybe when my birhir is large enough sticking him in there also.

im stuck on what sort of landscaping i should do in the tank? any ideas anyone, also anyother stocking ideas?????

Regards Jimbo

Have a nice big peace of bogwood and a big amazon sword, they always look good together imo (if the oscars don't tear them up :p). Fire eel sounds good, just make sure the tank is escape proof.

you could add some kind of cat fish. Possibly pictus ( I'v never kept them with oscars so i'm not sure). But in the store i'v seen some large pictus around 6.5 inches and i imagine they would be okay together

yea the tanks pretty bulletproof and escape proof. if a fish could lift the lid i'd be suprised.
i have a large piece of bogwood to go into it. whats a amazon sword?? pic's of the bogwood for sale?

yea i was thinking getting a catfish that grows large maybe a red tailed one. just cant find any at the right size round me.

the oscars that are going into the tank are 6-7" big atm.

deffinetly not a red tail as they grow up to 5 or 6 feet long lol.

and for aquascaping, deffinetly some big bog wood with some scattered rocks, maybe darker ones to kind of contrast the sand? And for plants onion plants are great, they are said to be bullet proof and need minimum care. you can buy them as a bulb and just plant it or some stores have them pre-grown

Is he kept in a large enough tank(10x8x4ft i would say is minimum for an adult)?

i have added argos playsand as a substrate.

Im planning on putting my 3 oscars and a common plec which i have into this.

any tank make or ideas for the tank would be appriciated.

Two tanks, Upstairs, Falling Through = Epic FAIL!

Looks nice until it fails though!

Amazon swords just a big leafy plant that in my opinion looks very nice and grows fairly big so could be a nice centre piece plant.
