Well I have just had the busiest friday.... Completely overhauled my tank and i think as this layout is completely different I will start a new thread.
The upgrades I have made to the tank are putting on a 150w double ended metal halide- 20k. I now have it open top and i've now got 4800 lph supplied by a Hydor Koralia 2 and a Seio M620 which is placed so that the back of my tank is supplied with flow. This avoids dead spots. I also changed the substrate to Red Sea Reef Base and I must say this stuff is awseome. This avoids dead spots. The right rock structure has a massive cave underneath meaning that my dish have a nice secure place to hide if they feel the need and the left side is going to be my SPS pillar combined with ricordeas at the base. The right rock structure I intend to stock with ultra coloured zoanthids and LPS to give a nice balance and avoid the SPS twig look haha. Also in the centre there is a flat piece of rock where i will have some GSP, isolated away from everything to avoid it taking over. Also i think either a nice lobo, brain or trachy would be rigght at home... who knows a clam may eventualy be in the pipeline.
My chemistry is also suprisingly good considering I dredged up a heck of a lot of detritus. It currently has :
0 Nitrite
0 Nitrate
0 Ammonia
0.25ppm Phosphate
Dkh of 5- bit lower than I would like..
440ppm Calcium
Oh and 25.4c and 1.025sg
Anyway heres the good stuff!
