What a shame he was sold. If he's still in there do you think you might at least be able to take a pic of him to post? I'd be so interested to see, especially because of the odds of that particular gene popping up in him . . . makes him match himself, so to speak, lol!

Isn't the albino gene not the dominant gene thefore it would have to be albino or else just a carrier and if it were a carrier of the gene it wouldn't show any signs of being albino, but I haven't taken bio in a while so I could be wrong.

You should have run home to get your camera then came back to take a picture! I don't know anything about fish genes, but my rabbit is a black himi, he has pink eyes and red pupils, and he is white exept for his feet, nose, ears, and tail. He deffinatly is not blind.

I say cut up a white trash bag - or a couple.
Make it into a haz-mat looking type of suit.
Make some sort of a helmet out of a bucket.
Write "HAZ MAT QUARANTINE TEAM" on the back of your suit.
Go into the store and pick up the betta, then tell the employees the fish must be quarantined, then walk to the check out counter as fast as you can while holding your hands around the cup. Pay for him and get the heck out of the store.

They will have no idea what just hit them, and assume you are for real.

AND the best part is - you won't have lied.

Lol, I went in today and the lady was there when the store opened. I was too late for any sneaky-ness. And I'm pretty sure he wasn't blind because he was off in a dark corner of the store in the back and I didn't turn on any lights or create any shadows. Blindness was my first thought, but how else would he have known to flair at me? He was cool though. Bummer I hadn't snatched him even though he was on hold!

Also, yes his pupils were red. Unique fish. I don't really care about him being albino marble or anything like that, I would just liked to have had him because he was droolably stunning. I will probably never see any betta like him again.
