I went to the LFs yesterday, and the phenominal thing was not the fish, but one of the new employees. The manager told me they hired him partly for his net precision.

Yet, I watched him help the other guy get 4 kuhli loaches. It was incredible. The guy pointed at 4 different kuhlis he wanted, and the employee nabbed the exact 4, in a tank that had like 30 kuhlis, in under a minute! Yes, the kuhli's were going crazy and zipping about the tank, but he still got 'em! I can't describe it, but it was nuts . . .

Wow! Does he have a lot of experience or is he just naturally talented? :p

out of all the fish that i have ever kept i would have to say that a small bn pleco in a planted tank was the hardest

I think the easy with which a fish is caught must be related to the intelligence (!) of the fish - whenever I put a net in my tank the stupid guppies swim right into it, ( Oh dear, I'm caught again.) but I can only ever mananged to catch one zebra danio before the rest scatter.

Then I spend ages chasing the little blighters while they zip past the net through the smallest gap! :S

I have finally found a good method...

I put in one of those clear plastic breeding boxes,
then I put in the net,
the sneaky, scattering danios swim right into the plastic box ( :sly: HA, GOT YOU!) and can easily be poured out or netted from there!

finnaly, a lfs worker whos worthy of working t a lfs :p

i wish he worked at my place :sly:
