So this is week 2 of all the stores around me not having dwarf puffers.

i ahve 3 oto's in a 10g tank with some amazon swords and fake plants.

im getting tired of looking for these fish so does anyone have any ideas of an oddball fish that i could in a 10g?

(i dont mind getting rid of the oto's)

a mudskipper, african butterfly fish, anything exciting to look at? :dunno:

please help its just not fun having nothing in a tank!

mudkippers too big. I know........ GUDGEONS!! dwarfs probly got some pics of his and i think its getting close to time for some new ones (hint, hint)

are you sure that mudskippers get too big?

my lfs,big als, was selling indian mudskippers so i did research and ti seems they only grow to about 4 inches.

just saying is all.....any other odd balls i could try? :dunno:

african buttefly fish is pretty cool, watching it eat feeder guppies is entertaining..

I think you may need more room for mudskippers, a 15 gal would do for maybe 1. The thing is though is that mudskippers like to be in groups. They are also brackish fish. They also should get live foods like crickets. One could probably be kept alone in a 10, but keep in mind that 2 thirds of the tank should be land. If i were to get mudskippers, id get alteast a 15 for one, and a 30 gal for a group of around 6, 6 is a pretty good number. When in groups they show all their colors and fins and stuff. Really cool little fish. In a 10 gal you could do african buttefly fish.. but im not sure how many. I think you could maybe do some type of dwarf pike cichlid which are pretty cool.
