Okay, my tank is basically at stocking level however I was hoping to add just a single fish or a pair of fish as something slightly larger or more showy than the rest, a sort of centrepiece fish I suppose. It's 155 litres and contains Platys, Neon Tetras, Silver Tip Tetras, Sterbai Corys and Kuhli Loaches. I have looked at lots of fish from Rams to Keyholes to Gouramis and I'm really not sure. I look at one and think yes and then read certain things like aggression (Cichlids) or timidness or being bullied by Tetras (Gouramis?) and so get confused.

Basically, does anyone have any ideas, or what they might add?

Thanks. :good:

Well you could try a trio of Sparkling gouramis, if you cant find those try a trio of honey gouramis,
1 male 2 female...

yeah and after that he wont have to worry about stocking problems cause he'd have no more tetras.

Do you think the tetras (mainly the silver tips) would harass gouramis?

it'd be the other way round for most of the time. as far as i know, tetras are always the ones being pushed around

I agree. My golden gouramis harass everyone else in the tank (the male does, anyway).
I also have 2 angels and they're rarely aggressive, don't even look at my neon and rummynose tetras.

the problem with Angel Fish is their natural diet in the wild is Neons, so i wouldnt have them in the same tank just on the off chance you find your fish disappearing slowly lol
