I just went through the process of taking apart 1/2 the l236 breeder tank. It had become overcrowded and fry had to be moved. There are too many pictures and too much detail for me to want to reproduce it all here. However, for those interested, I tried to take pics of the process from beginning to end and I have posted it all in a thread on Planetcatfish. If you would like to see it, you can go here http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42173

Here  is a taste of what you will find

Very interesting, thanks for sharing that. Good idea for the tank divider, works much better than a sheet of glass by the looks of it.

The thing is, when I took that tank 1/2 apart to get out the fry, the two breeders on the right site were both on a spawn and then those two females from the left half I tore down and put back together were also full of eggs. At this tate i will have to go back in again in about 2 months.

So when I did the breakdown there was this very fat female- not only can you see how swollen she ism but you can also see her tube. Females have a rounded tube as you can see as well.

Soon after the tank went back together one of the males was on the largest number of eggs I have seen to date.

Once you get them started, it doesn't take long to have a bunch of fry!
