very nice little community, and all the fish you see are for sale in the classified section, also the plants, wood, coconut caves and gravel is for sale too, just give me a shout if your interested in anything.
cheers,
Dave

Nice, what are her water perameters.

I though hillstream loaches required ph of around 6 which seems low for everything else in the tank

the ph is at around 6.8 in the tank, all the fish in the tank are neutural to slightly acidic water fish so are well suited to the water, as you can see in the pictures all the fish are in perfect health, they wouldn't be there if they wasn't happy.

the only fish that aren't really suitable for the 125 litre are the silver dollars and the clown loach's, which were being grown on to go into my 1000 litre tank, but as they are still too small to go into it they are getting sold on.

the tank is 125 litre, filtered by a fluval 305 (for a 300 litre tank) ammonia 0 nitrite 0 and nitrate around 0.05
anything else??

Good to know becuase that was something I was considering for my tank a while ago but went down another path after being given duff info.

I know for next time

Sorry,

I was originally after a hillstream loach around 9 months ago but was badly advised by someone saying they needed a ph of 6

shame because looking back I would have loved to have had one

how bigs that frog ? looks huge lol , i have two of them only tiny. they live with the channa orientalis, their choosing not mine like as they keep going through the divider from the platy's to the snakeheads. Cool looking things.

love the layout of that tank , also a nice interesting selection of fish . those high fin barbs are nice and hillstream loach is a fave of mine i love em.

What colour curtains do you have in the room. Clown loaches prefer pink ones with yellow spots. IF you do not have pink curtains, this will stunt the growth of the fish and affect their ability to do triganometry and French.

cheers, i quite like the lay out of it, it would be better with real plants but after a year of trying all different live plants (and them ending up dead) the fake ones was the only option. the wood is a nice shape too (which is also for sale!) i just don't like the ends, i don't like it when you get wood that has been clean cut, ruins it really,
i love those hi-fin barbs they are really ice, they always show off to each other and really stretch their fins!
i like the hillstream loach too!
will be a shame to see it all go but she just looses interest in it now so i think with a small tanganyikan community, mainly shell dwellers, should keep it looking interesting!

I like it too, i wasn't getting at you. I just noticed your frustration that it's sometimes very difficult to ask/show anything on this forum without people questioning you, battering you with differing opinions and just just going really off topic without actually commenting on what you asked.!

My sarcasm overan slightly ;)..

Nice tank.

im very interested in a few of your fish dave would you post ???
