The future of your hobby

I have 11 of them. Mine hide away more than the other cories do though. They are very cute!
Interesting--I had the opposite experience. I started with false bandit cories, but hardly ever saw them. The pandas were always out in the open, interacting with each other, really fun to watch. I wonder if someone is picking on yours. Or maybe yours are just from a less friendly family. ha ha

We've just moved house and I now have a basement that was used as a utility room in the past so has electrics and plumbing for a washing machine. It needs a lot of work to get as a usable space, when we moved in it kept flooding so needs some rennovation now the drains are fixed.

My ambition would be to have a big set of tanks on an automatic waterchange system. First time I've written it down but been day dreaming about:
  • 120g Female Nicaraguan sorority tank, 4-5 female Nics (see my avatar) maybe with some livebearers, always liked Skiffia and they are fiesty to keep with the Nics. Maybe have some hoplo catfish and some kind of plec thats tough enough to live with them.
  • 120g Madagascan cichlid tank, need to hone in on which species as some get too big, would like to keep them with a school of madagascan rainbows and maybe some off biotope catfish - probably some kind of Synodontis.
  • 120g Schoudenti puffer tank, 4-5 of them with a school of Congo Tetras, probably one of the nice new species like sp.Fantastique again with some Synodontis catfish.
  • 120g Rainbowfish tank - Dwarf neon rainbows and Sunset dwarf rainbows with a couple of other species in there too.
The tanks would be stacked 2 tall on a steel frame but finished nicely with doors etc. They would all be 4x2x2 but I may be able to get 2 of them as 6x2x2. Biggest part of it is figuring out the plumbing and finding a company that could help me out.

Wills :)

That would be quit the operation and it would work out best in the basement, sounds like you have neat dream. Good luck.
Its a bit of a pipe dream at the moment but if I can pull it off should be amazing. I've got permission from the mrs which is the main thing :)

They came from 2 different places so different groups with same personality. Don’t get me wrong, they do come out. They just aren’t as friendly as the bronzes and albinos. The albinos are by far the class clowns. The pandas will freeze in motion like if I don’t move, she won’t see me. Lol!

I don't really see adding or changing anything in the near future. I only have two aquariums. My main hobby is reptiles and amphibians, so I really don't have any more space.
Still, I wouldn't mind having a tank of calico angels at some point.

I'd like to get into breeding wild bettas. But I dont see that happening any time soon, as I may have to sell all my tanks this autumn
Good to have something to look forward to. Courage. It won't always be this crazy.

Oh no! Why do you have to sell all your tanks?

I would love to get a 75 gallon tank. There's just so much you can do with that!
Three fish I would like to keep are: killifish, pygmy cories, and some kind of shell dweller cichlid. There are so many more I would like to keep though. It's so hard to choose!

I may be moving back to NZ this autumn, and wouldnt be able to take them with me. It's still undecided though, so I may not have to
