The Dreaded Question : Are My Lights Good Enough?

hey i have 2x 11 watt T5 power compact lighting (made by aqua one) and was wondering would it be enough to house some zoo's and a hammer coral?

i don't think that will be enough for you to keep them types of coral sorry mate
i only have 2x18w t5 compacts fitted in the aqua one hood and thats just about enough to keep some simple softies

aww gods sake. p well i spose im not gonna be able to stock corals for at least a few months so gives me time to save.

also since i already have two PC tubes can i add another couple to those of higher wattage such as this

Probably not the hammer, but Id try the Zoos and yo could add Shrooms . Tough as guts. Mine are continually pushed around, into zones with different lighting/shading, and they seem to do well.

Mushrooms, Xenia, Common Sacrophytons, Kenya Tree, Spaghetti Leather, and Palythoas (big zooanthids) would probably do best. Zooanthids MIGHT struggle under lighting that low, but then again they may flourish. Zoos can be a bit tricky at times

Its easy to tell Zoos and Palys apart. Just scare them into closing up and look at the edges of them. If you see lines pointing towards the mouth, they're palythoas, if there's no lines, they're zooanthids

LOL scaring them?! You could just ask the LFS man to tell you. Unless its petco and any other stupid LFS that wants you to buy there products instead of educating and informing you, then they'll tell you its a type of lizard that lives under the sea

well i definately give the zoo's a go and i will upgrade lighting later to accomidate the hammer. would 4 PC at probably 92 watts be good?
