Okay, i gave into the impulse to get some convicts. I bought a male and a female. I figuerd i would start a breeding journal.

Tank size: 30 gallons
Inhabitants: 5 guppies, 1 molly, 2 convicts
Water:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 25
Ph: 8.4-8.6
Kh and Gh : N/A

Male:

For some reason, his fins are red. Never seen that in a convict before.

Female:

Male is aobut 2 inches long, female is about 1 1/2 inches long.

I have a plastic plant in there for the fry to feed off, when the eggs hatch, and a piece od slate laying in there for the fish to lay in.
The female looks very egg-y and they should lay any day. I plan on feeding the fry, once they get at 3-4 weeks, to my angelfish.

Thanks! I have always liked convicts. Truth is, i made myself an excuse for buying them. The babies as fish food. I wanted to convince myself that i NEEDED them.

i would assume the guppies are food and the molly is a punching bag, lol

You are correct jb. I have nowhere else to put them. I have 2 other tanks full of angels. The cons dont seem to be getting along, if they continue to fight, i will take one back and get a different one, and re-arrange the tank.
