Heehee! Yeah, here's my dead Clown Loach...dead tired that is. What a cutie. God, I love Clowns. They entertain me to no end.

Now that mine all live with my mbuna...(and pretty much all my africans) I never catch my clowns doing that anymore. They used to with the frontosa all the time...I guess they feel a little less safe now. They just all crowd under one rock and sleep now. Thanks for the picture. He's cute.

You know the hardest thing about getting a shot like that, is trying to snap the photo before the Clown knows what you are doing. Because seriously, they do cute stuff on purpose, make you get out the camera, turn on the perfect settings, actually let you take the picture...and then when you preview what you took, all you've got is a blurry little tail leaving the frame. They are such brats.

The little guys love it in that tank. I think it's because I have so many other bottom feeders in with them, that they feel more comfortable. They've even accepted the Yo-yo Loaches and I just got them like two days ago. They are quite the friendly little guys.

And freshmike...? I'd love to see a pic of all your Clowns piled under one rock...that's gotta be so cute. I love watching nighty night time around here...three Clowns, two Yo-yo's, five Cories, and a betta (yes Shamus gets in on it too ) all crammed under the slate rock tent. It's just hilarious.

You gotta love the way Clowns scare you like that. Mine sleep upside down a lot now. One of them has taken to using the folds between 2 leaves of my onion plant as a bed. That is hilarious Haven't managed to get a pic yet though; he does exactly the same as yours Arashi. He just waits till that millisecond that I press the button, then off he goes and leaves me with a blurred pic. GIT!!!!

and i always was annoyed with them when i was about to scoop them out and they jump up and swim away happily

That's the best picture I've ever seen of a clown playing dead......I was away for the weekend and my son called me to tell me that bad news that my clown loach had died and was stuck sideways in a crack of a piece of driftwood. I had to explain that is it's favorite sleeping place.

Heehee, thanks guys! Sounds like the rest of you all have some naughty little Clowns as well. They are just the greatest little fishies. I don't think I could ever be without them again. They do the most mischievious things, and sometimes you get so mad at them for scaring you so badly, but then you look at their little funny faces and all is forgiven.

Sasha - See, they do do that already. They scare you into thinking that they've died, so you go in to fish them out with a net, and off they go! They know what they're doing...oh yes, they know exactly what they are doing...giving all Clown owners shorter life spans.

lucky - You sound like my boyfriend...he does that all the time too.
