No offense, betta luver, but I won't be doing that just because you told me to. Since you've mentioned it I have done a bit of reading on the subject and I can't find anything reliable about them dying from painted shells. These shells are quality, store bought and sealed. And secondly, I offer these crabs new foods everyday, including reliable favorites, and they snub their noses at tons of new stuff, I really really doubt they'd sit around and eat paint chips.
