The Crabitat Of '06

No offense, betta luver, but I won't be doing that just because you told me to. Since you've mentioned it I have done a bit of reading on the subject and I can't find anything reliable about them dying from painted shells. These shells are quality, store bought and sealed. And secondly, I offer these crabs new foods everyday, including reliable favorites, and they snub their noses at tons of new stuff, I really really doubt they'd sit around and eat paint chips. :look:

We've kept four, with painted shells, alive and thriving for right at a year now. I'm not going to worry too much about it ;)

He really is a cutie Wuv. I think he takes after his parents a bit, he's got the brown "hair" and the blue "clothes" going on, just like Dad. :D

Rest In Peace to your little hermie. Hermies will eat just about anything. DUH! I hope enjoys life in hermie heaven.

That's a rather bold and ignorant statement, oh crabbie-know-it-all.

indeed rude statement painted shells are painted with acrylic pants and then coated over with varnish as extra protection basically like a plastic toy non of the paint can come off which i should know as being a miniature model painter for over 4years now

Thank you, Willtang. I know I paid a pretty penny for them (extra shells), I probably couldn't scrape the paint off if I tried.

But I also stand by my statement saying I truly do NOT believe they'd eat paintchips if it came down to it  There's no freakin' way, I don't believe it.
