I'm so pleased - I've got bubbles appearing on the under-side of my plants, so the CO2 is definitely working.
My KH is relatively high (14-21) so my pH has been dropping very slowly and steadily. It is currently at pH 7. I'd already reduced the pH and KH of my water out of tap (pH 8.5-9, KH 24+) by pre-filtering through peat and by installing a ton of bogwood so my pH was 7-7.5 before this. I'm hoping I can get it down to pH 6.5 in a couple of weeks but I'm going by gut feeling rather than a truly deep understanding of the interaction between CO2, KH and pH. Is it worth getting one of those CO2 concentration tests to check?
My Amazon swords have new growth and despite the work of the evil snails, I think they'll pull through their 11 days of light deprivation.
My only problem is a daft rummy-nosed tetra who seems to have a thing about the CO2 diffuser and got stuck this morning. I freed him and no harm seems to have been done.

Just curious, why do you want the PH to be that low?
