I knew I forgot something. I was copying the names off this site but because I couldnt think about any names except Crowntail and Veil tail..lol

Are these to be just Betta splendens or did you intend to include the other wilds? Are wilds the totally non selectively bred wild caught plakats if only splendens are the subject? Frankly the whole subject and complexity of tail types has me

I can ID a VT, CT, a HM, a plakat, a DT. Much beyond this (I may be forgetting something), and it's just morphs of degrees. If we are discussing splendens.

Sorry to be a and a party pooper.

Right now I think a DT/HM plakat would be interesting. And that would just be to add variety to my collection, not pick a fav. Also I can't fit that choice in your poll.

It's a delta, if I remember that thread correctly.

A lot of the new morphs are just names for old tail types that breeders use to make them seem new and interesting. A real new morph, in my opinion, is something like a CT plakat or CT DT, since you still don't see those very often... but I'd still rather call it "CT plakat" instead of "halfsun" or whatever else they're calling it nowadays.

Round-tail is a term commonly used to refer to plakats (plakat is actually the Thai term for any betta regardless of tail type, meaning "biting fish", so 'round-tail' is more correct in that sense), and I'm guessing fantail is delta, or HM plakat maybe?

Personally I really have a thing for CT bettas at the moment. They are just so unusually regal looking to me. I know they sometimes sell some CTs are PetCo now so they aren’t exactly rare, but still a great colored/breed CT is just stunning.

I absolutely adore the idea of a CT Plakat though, all the regal qualities of a CT while the smooth streamlined body of a Plakat.

I guess akudewan's Betta might be officially a delta tail, but the dorsal and anal (?) were CT. What's the dif between HM and delta?

So am I suppose to vote plakat with my request for a HM /DT plakat?

I think right now I just really like that DT plakat chunk/hunk look, especially in the gals.

HMs caudal spreads reach 180 degrees, deltas are wider than VT, but not HM (over 150 degrees, I think?)

So, it's just a matter of degrees. OHM is more than 180 degrees? (Why don't my keyboards have a degree sign? ) I don't like numbers. I never remember numbers. Silly me.

So I will now vote plakat, although it really only indicates a short tail.

I remember I posted a similar poll awhile back. CT's won that one followed by Plakats, if I remember correctly.

I'm having a thing for Plakats right now. IMHO you can never have too many Plakats.
