Hey guys,

I am interested in getting another tank (yes yes I know).
If you look in my signature, I have 2 aqua one tanks, and a home made tank.

I have found that having a 'package' tank that comes with the cabinet/hood already together look a lot neater and more professional.
Don't get me wrong - I do like timber stands and hoods, but I much prefer the look of the clean sharp Juwel Rio look.

What do you think is the best all in one package to purchase? I have been looking at the Juwel Rio 400 and LOVE the look of it in black.
I live in Australia so tanks may be a little different here. Just wanted to hear some feedback on what kind of tanks you guys had.

I currently have a AquaOne AquaStyle 980T, which I really like, however am not sure I want another tank with a bowed front.

Please let me know of your experiences, and which tanks come with good filters etc that have the crisp clear look about them.
I am hoping to get a black setup, with black sand and make it a planted tank.

P.S. I am looking for a a tank that is approximately 6ft long.

Hi, can;t comment on a 'big tank', but I have a Juwel Rio 180 and definately enjoy it.

The internal filter is OK but if I could I would upgrade straight away to external to keep the clean, smart look. Oh, and for efficiency lol.

I have it in the Dark Wood colour and it is really nice looking.

If i had the money right now my 'big tank' of choice is definately the Fluval Osaka 320. It has curved edges, it also has no lid but I like that

I bought a second hand juwel 350 and my girlfriend HATES the black. She prefers the more natural wood look but being as the top part of the tank is black I refuse to make a new cabinet. The bigger tanks are great, more options for stocking. Go for it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciated!
I love the Juwel tanks, hard to find them locally though. Probably the same with the one you have listed here!
It does look similar to my Aquastyle 980T though!

What you are facing with your purchase is best characterized, in my own opinion, as a question of how you will use the tank.
If it is to be set up as a display in a public area, like a sitting room, the appearance becomes quite important and the best looking tank is always the best choice. If it is to be set up the way that most of mine are, as species breeding tanks, the appearance becomes far less important and the ease of cleaning, feeding and doing water changes becomes far more important than the final appearance. In most cases I use simple rack type stands since I don't care much about the presentation of the tank. If I kept one in my main location to entertain guests, that tank would have far different requirements to my typical tank.

Yes very true. This would definately be a showpiece tank. I have another tank that's just a filthy pig that currently has most of my fish in it.
