The Best £12 I Have Spent So Far...

2 in a 60 gallon would be like a drop in the ocean. For effectiveness you'd need at least 30 in a non predatory tank.

fish mad, with your current stock list they'd probably be on constant run and hide from the angels, gourami's and possibly also shark (though I don't know enough about them to be sure). Amano's are not recommended with any cichlids - with the exception of (some) rams.

I am looking at getting some myself, though I currently have in my stock for the 20 gallon:

4x zebra danios (i kept trying to bring this number back up and every time the new guys died... but the 4 seem rather happy together so im leaving them like that for now)
6x neon tetras
6x flame tetras
1x zebra loach
1x leopard loach.

Its at the point of being over stocked now by an ickle bit. me thinks me will wait till i get me new 4ft tank on a stand and filters and heaters working. ah well, just made this post to count my own fish and count myself out :(

Love the pics of the shrimps stealing tablets and food, it happend for the first time today in my tank. I was quite shocked that they could carry a full tablet and under the noses of the fish. The catfish will not be pleased stealing food meant for them. Surely one tablet for one shrimp is just being plain greedy :hyper:

I know I might just be lucky, but I have some in one tank that has a RTBS and ram and did have a breeding pair of angels. The other tank currently houses the same breeding angels and a golden gourami as well as gold barbs and they are fine in there too.

If they have plently of plants to hide in/on, they seem to be fine :good: My tetra's cause them more hassle as the adults are a similar size.

Will they eat algae from the glass of the tank?

I'm stuck between shrimp or Ottos!

Get both! Shrimp tend to sit on the plant/decor whereas Otos tend to do the glass, they complement each other really well :D

Fair enough then!!

How are they at waste production? As I'm near, if not on, my official stocking limit. Although, my tank is over filtered so a little over won't harm anyone!

The current stock survived 8 hours without a filter during a power cut last week.
