The 60 Gallon hex

very lovely set up debo!!!
is it hard to clean being so deep? we were looking at some corner/hex style tanks this weekend for future tanks (i want angels but i want a tank deep enough for them to grow and i thought these hexes migth be the way to go.......) but we were talking that it would be a pain to get in there and clean the gravel.

no, my cories and clown loaches love eating it, so its kept quite clean!!
my cories 'pretend' to eat the algae  they flit busily all over it, but dont really do anything  . the gouramis peck it too

Hi,
No it isn't too bad getting into it to clean the gravel. I bought an extender for my gravel vac and I can do it without getting up on a chair now. I just love the way it looks so I don't mind the extra work it involves in cleaning it. It is nice because it doesn't LOOK like a fish tank in the living room. Also, I am an Interior Decorator so I needed something that looked good in my house as well as what was good for the fish!!!!! Everyone that sees it loves it. We are also going to put a tank just like this in our furniture store. The kids that come in will love it.

Looks great TOTM nomination!!!
Come on people can I hear a second?

Here's a little bit better photo. This tank is really hard to photograph because of the shape!! Thanks for the TOTM nominations.

No blue lights.............Might be the reflection from the blue sofa and loveseat which is on either side of the tank. Or maybe the blue gravel. I keep it really clean so it sparkles!!!!

It's the blue gravel that makes the tank water look blue when the lights are on. I have green gravel in my tank at home and it makes the water look green when the lights are on.
