Hi, at the end i decided to go with the asian swamp biotope because i enden up buying 2 three spot gouramies with amazing colors, so i already planned the aquascape with southeast asian plants only but as i was looking around i found out that danios are from india not thailand and the same goes for mystus catfish, so i changed the danios for trigonostigma heteromorpha but i do not know what could be a good replacement for the mystus, so i need some ideas for a bottom dweller from thailand swamps or the mekong river that can live in a 30 gallon tank, if possible i would like it to be a gregarious species that also eats algae appart from detritus and food leftovers. maybe i could acomodate 2 different species.
Thanks

I dont know actually if they will eat shrimp. But they may eat snails like ramshorns and bladder snails, they're in that group of loaches that do tend to eat those lol

They do eat snails, but not enough to regard them as pest control. I would not put shrimps with them because that is their natural food.

Pangio anguillaris are found in mekong River basin. Theyre shrimp safe and snail safe.

Theyre cute too!
