Day 1. Was last night really, at around midnight i wrote down this list detailing what i need and how much it is.

Forgot to put this in lol!

Let it be settled then that my tropical fish forum tank shall be of 50 litres and contain the following aquatic specimens...

1x Male Betta Splendens (blue/purple)
4x Dwarf Corydora
6x Neon Tetra

The other Equipment will be...

1x interpet AV1 air pump connected to a 4 inch airstone

1x fluval U2 rated for up to 110 litres at 400 litres an hour, i will turn the flow rate down however. It was a u1 originally but i read some bad reviews on it saying that it was the worst of the U line and i opted for the next model up.

1x Hagen Elite 50Watt Heater

Substrate Will Be...

A Fine Gravel Substrate and will Be Black

2x amazon sword
1x (forotten its name but it has a red underleaf)

i'd recommend more cories, dwarfs tend to do better in larger groups than regular sized cories, from experience

i'll try, they seem ok in a group of 4 in my main tank, and they sociallise a lot with the tetras, which i will be putting in as well.

So far my tank is going to cost me...

Day 2. Thinking of cycling over to harlow to get the heater today, will take my "card of jewelry" as my GF calls it so i can get other things if needs be. I would have ordered the heater online but if it is at a lower price instore then you might as well get it. may also get the driftwood.

ah well, at least the gravel is free shipping lol!

after finding another amazing deal, my tank will now cost me only £64.65!

day 2. Part 2

After cycling to harlow got there and found out there was no more driftwood and that they will be getting stock in on monday next week! So i treated myself to a fancy background and gave my kuhli loach some company by buying another one. They are in my boat somewhere...

I have a feeling i now have a male and a female as well.

in a few weeks i'll go back and get the driftwood, what are you meant to do with it? leave it to soak?

Why don't you use a spreadsheet instead of wrighting it all down, it can really save some time if you are constantly changing your plans!
Here's an example:


Sounds good so far, just remember not to boil the bogwood, pour hot water over it instead and then leave it to soak. When are you hoping to have it ready by?

Not bogwood, just driftwood. tank will be started once i sell off the fry that are currently in there​

well days, 3,4,5,6 and 7 have been a waste! i have had a lot to doo and a lot of rain so the driftwood will have to wait! Might go out on my bike sometime...
