Okay so 2 weeks ago my TetraTec 1200 External filter's Prime button became stuck when trying to initiate the filter.
After giving the filter a few taps, nudges, shakes and a few choice words the button would budge. After starting the process off my self (initiating a syphon manually) the pump did eventually work, with PRIME stuck in place.
Regardless of this, I was still pretty annoyed that my 3 month old Tetra Tec was in the blink! So, I decided to contact Tetra to see what they advised, i did this by using the Tetra Services website.
Within 24 hours they replied saying that I need a replacement head. Apparently this is a common issue with the old style motor heads, and has since been fixed on the new model. They processed the replacement automatically and I am expecting the new head within a week
