Tetratec Ex700

Hi All,

Just wondeirng if anyone has actually used one of the Tetratec filters yet. I am in two minds as to get either an Eheim 2234 ECCO canister or the Tetratec EX 700. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I am concerned, if the choice is between an Eheim and anything else, get the Eheim.

HI,

Thanks for the link to the video. I did go ahead and buy one, the EX700 and have not a had a single problem with it. It is so quiet you dont know it's there.

Highly recommended if anyone is interested in getting one.

I was new to external filters and did a lot of soul searchng for the right one. I tried the EX700 and found it so easy to set up 10 mins and away it went. Its quiet and simple to clean. So impressed woz I that I have just ordered another. The prices are very keen on the net, the cheapest supplier just a bit over 50pound.

costs me £70 including delivery.

I picked mine up on Ebay for £50. Just recommended it to 2 other people I know. The filters are quite cheap on ebay as well, although I can only find one supplier at the moment, but I have more than enough spare filters at this point in time.

Has anyone found a way to put the spraybar deeper in the water, rather than about an inch below the water line? I want it down near the gravel at the bottom of the tank but there doesnt seem to be any extension that comes with it

can you get extra flexible tubing from your lfs?

Yep i got the tetratec 700 and it is excellent within an hour my water was crystal clear Well recommend it. But i havent cleaned the filter yet how often would you clean it?
