i recieved it this morning...got it primed about 5 hours ago had it runing up until about 30 mins ago and it started leaking out of where one of the clips is (the one which when pulled up releases the head piece.

ive vaselined it as per instructions but its still leaking...there are not dirt particles in the O ring...help!

ive used vasaline once and had a leak with it so i dried it all off cleaned it up got all the vasaline off from everywhere and put it all back together and not a leak since mate they are designed to make a dry seal and not meant to have anything put on them imo as it can also void warranty too mate i hope you get it sorted its sooo frustrating when you get a leak and cant get it to stop for long

It actually mentions in the 'troubleshooting' page at the back of the manual that you should keep the O-ring well lubricated, so it wouldn't invalidate the guarantee/warranty. I have an EX600 and an EX700 and keep both lubricated without a problem (two years and counting).

i unplugged the filter and left the taps closed...i started it up at nine and before doing that i pushed quite forcefully onto the motor head and it no longer leaks

Good to hear your leaks has stopped. I was about to give the usual list of things to try...

When was the date of manufacture on this one? There was a batch that went about about 6 months ago that had dodgy taps that lead to leaks from around the canister body... They should all have been fixed by now and that stock cleared, but it's possible you go one of the iffy batch...

All the best
