I've not used one yet, but have managed to blagg a free one from Tetra :hey: .
It shouldv'e been on this weeks delivery but the wholesaler was out of stock,
so I'll be getting it on Friday.

what did you want no know, I've sold loads of these at work?

i just want to know the following:
- is the filter quiet?
- how is it compared with the eheim professional 2 series?
- delivery head of the pump?
- easy to prime?
- pipe width?
- comes complete with media?
- negatives?

- is the filter quiet? as quiet as an eheim
- how is it compared with the eheim professional 2 series? the breif on desiginig these wasd "make is as good or better than Eheim but cheaper" I think they have acheived this.
- delivery head of the pump? not sure what you mean by that but would have to check the box for tech specs.
- easy to prime? apparently so via the start button.
- pipe width? 16mm (internal diameter) I think
- comes complete with media? yes
- negatives? never had one back so far, all customers that have brought one have said they are great,
one even thanked me for pursuading him to buy it.

thanks again Wolf :good:
delivery head is the maximum allowable distance (height) between the filter bottom to the top of the water in the fish tank.

I have the EX700, but the manual contains info for all models.
Mine is silent, i have to keep touching it to reassure myself it's still running! I've never used an Eheim so cant compare.
Maximum head height (same thing??) is 1.8m for the 1200 model, 1.5m for the 700, and 1.2 for the 600.
Having read further into the manual it says for the 1200 model, the distance between the bottom of the filter and surface of the water is between 80 - 150 cm.

It is easy to prime, just press the button on top a couple of times and it'll start.
Hose width is 15.2mm internally on the 1200, 11.3mm on the 700/600.
It does come complete with all media, pipes, tubes etc
Negatives? only complaint i have is that i cant adjust the height of the spraybar. other than that it's perfect so far.

I got my EX700 from zooplus.co.uk for £50.99 inc delivery and that was cheaper by far than any other place i could find, even ebay. Just looked and they dont do the 1200 model though.
