I revieved my tetratec ex 1200 today but there seems to be parts missing i think..

Would i be correct in saying there should be a strainer on the intake side? theres also no suction cup/clips

Its brand new aswell from www.aquatics-warehouse.co.uk so not a happy bunny tbh as i needed it up and running asap

Contact Tetra about it, their aftersales is brilliant

Just off the phone to aquatics-warehouse they are sending out the missing items today so should be with me tomorrow :)

NOT happy!

aquatics-warehouse are a bloody joke! i needed the tetratec ex filter asap as mine gave up the ghost, no problem next day deliverd, parts missing phone them up and let them know the problem and that i need the parts asap that are missing as i have no filter running in my tank at the moment no problem mr ill get them out to you next day delivery should have been here today... no sign of them so a long wait until monday now to see if they turn up! :(

I wont be dealing with these jokers again!

Thats unfortunate. I have a spare Textratec EX1200 knocking around aswell that i dont use. It also has a few bits missing, and i bought a new one as it would cost me over half of a new one to get the existing one going. A failed purchase of someone on here.

dont suppose you have the parts im after and fancy selling them? :)

Sorry to hear about this......
Nothing worse than it all going Pete Tong......
I bought some odds and sods about a year ago from them and no worries, I recently bought a TetratecEX700 from them and no probs. I bought my first one from zooplus about a year ago and it had one of those two prong plugs, at least this one has the right plug...
Hope it all gets fixed soon mate :good:

I would expect an inlet arrangement to be easy to get W8tson. Have you looked at the basic hardware available at your local fish shop? A piece of tubing, a suction cover and a hose should be very easy to find. It may not look like original equipment but will give you some filtration while you wait for that replacement kit.

Local pet stores around me dont deal with ex filters or parts for them :( Theres 2 in my area and the rest are about 30+mins away.

Ive two spray bars but no clips ect to clip them onto the glass ect, ive been on the phone today to them and they have said my parts should have been here by now :(! if they are lost in the post they said id need to wait 14 days before they can claim off royal mail if thats the case ill be sending everything back to them and getting my money back and going else where!

Can say it will be the last time ill order from them.

If you are desperate, you could fit one of the 'outlets' as an inlet pipe (miss out the 90o elbow and join using a length of hose), then put a bit of mesh (think the mesh that satsumas come in from the shops) over the open end of the inlet pipe you have created. Not perfect, but could get you up and running while you wait for the right bits.

Been on phone to tetratec today regards the problem, they are sending out an in/out take kit for me :) as they dont have clips/cups on there own.

Now the waiting for them.

Good news!

If you want to 'dispose' of one of your outlet sets, I'm happy to pay postage :hey:

Ive had to do this... well kind of the way you have said as i keep having temp problems plus cant be doing the fish any good, ive used both spray bars missing the elbow like you said. will have to do until i get the other parts in the mail!

can take up to 10+ working days for the parts direct from tetratec!
