Tetratec Aps 50 Air Pump

Has anyone got one?

Is it quiet? and how large a stone can you put on it before its not powerful enough?

Im not wanting it to airate the tank just for show as i have seen a really fine bubble stone i like.

I had one and it drove me mad with noise but i was told to put a kink inside because the tank was small

my aps 300 is very quiet. not sure about the 50, but tetra tec make good quality products

I've got a 50 on my oscar tank (just for display purposes) pretty quite. Aslong as the pump doesnt come in contact with anything.
The little thing keeps vibrating and would sooner or later move down the cupboard and hit the door.

I have a Teratec APS 100 for my community tank, and its an amazing little pump. I can remember when i bought it (when i was just starting out) i was quite annoyed at the price (then again it'd been an expensive day ) but its a cracking little pump. Its really quiet, but as someone earlier said, makes a fair bit of noise when its in contact with something. Mine sits on the floor an is hardly noticeable. Looks good too.

Definately a good buy.
