i just didnt know if it would affect my fish too much going up a bit. i got this from my local water -
The area supplied by Affinity Water has 'hard' water. The hardness occurs naturally and is characterised by the presence of high levels of calcium and magnesium, which are good for healthy teeth and bones.
CALCIUM    120 mg/l
Calcium is the principal constituent of hardness.
TOTAL HARDNESS    300 mg/l
Total hardness is usually expressed in terms of calcium carbonate and is measured in milligrammes per litre (mg/l) or parts per million (ppm). The recognised classification scheme we are using is: 0-75 soft, 76-150 moderately hard, 151-300 hard, 300+ very hard. Your water is hard.

Dont know if this is good or not?

It just means that it's going to be very difficult to lower the pH, as the dissolved minerals will always be pushing it back up. Best to avoid fish that need very soft water.

Ok so i have tested my tank water today and the ph is around 7.8 - 8.0.... I tested the tap water as you said after 24hours sitting in a jug and the reading has gone from 7.5 up to 8.2, which i dont get as i tested my water in the tank after 24hours of sitting there but with aguasafe in there and the ph was still at 7.5 and it sat at that for 2 days then went up to 7.8? why is could it just be the test kit is not 100% right?
