It's a target puffer, so treat it along the lines of some of the bigger ones liek tetraodon abei.

A lot of these fish are coming in on the list as T. barbatus, but are in fact mislabelled target puffers. Get a photo if you're unsure.

I'll try and get a photo tomorrow. It just looks like a turd to be honest. It sits on the gravel all day. It never moves unless I disturb it cleaning the tank (which I try not to).

I read that it is nocturnal. I have been collecting snails from the other tanks for it and although we never see it eat them there are lots of empty shells in the morning. It won't touch dead fish, I tried giving it lancefish etc and it ignored it. However it does eat live feeders if they swim past close enough. I hate giving live foods but It just wasn't getting fed.

Took me nearly 2 weeks to get my old Turgidus to eat dead foods, had to basically tie food to string and danlge it in the water and basicaly smack him on the nose before he got annoyed and ate it.

If I had a spare tank I would bring him home and get him weaned onto more convienient foods but unfortunately I am full to bursting point at the moment. Maybe if I take the GSP's I rehomed into work I could bring the bigger puffer home for a while... :hey: I will talk to my boss tomorrow about the possibiltiy of fostering it for a while. He really doesn't seem happy in the shop.
