While usiing Tetracycline tablets are you to remove the carbon altogether and go "carbon less" for the entire treatment (5 days) OR are you simply supposed to replace the carbon after the treatment?

Also, I am putting one tablet in my 10 gallon tank each day (per the directions on the box)... My angelfish seem to like eating the tablet as it dissolves.  Is this really bad? ...is this stuff safe for them to eat? I don't know how to get them to stop eating it.

Duh. I think they're supposed to eat it. :S I have no clue. Watching it dissolve, it looks exactly like little food pellets so I think it's supposed to be ingested. I thought it was a treatment for the water.

...one of my angels is gettiing fin rot. The water params are fine, but (she is a veil, I think) her rear fins are starting to deteriorate. Very soon, I am moving her and her mate to a 20H, but I suspect they are quite cramped in my 10. Maybe that's why the fin rot is starting. The poor thing is getting nipped by the male and I noticed today that the fin is deteriorating more and more. I hope the tetracycline works.

So, anyway, about that carbon???? Does anyone know?

You will need to pull it completely out....and then after the 5 days....put a new one in. Good luck, Cali!!!
