Tetra Starter Line 105 litre tank - Opinions?

I have this tank and im finding i keep getting algee problems and have my light down to 5 hours because my plants have algee on them and so does my orniments

Could be a number of things causing the algae problem.

Can you tell us a little more about your tank...

What have you got stocking wise and how often do you feed?

Whats you maintance routine? (how often, volume of water changed etc)

Its 105 liter tetra tank
I had 7 guppies
Pleco
4 corys
2 molly fry
But we had a problem last week we dont know if it was using easycarbo or because we hadnt changed the ploy carb filters but all the fish were just staying still at the top of the tank and wouldnt move then just all started dieing slowly lost all the guppies and one cory

Feed once a day

I have fluval u3 filter but had algae problems when we had a different filter my lava fern leaves ended up coverd in black beard algae
I can add pictures tomorrow just got in bed
