tetra Fish

I looked up white skirt tettra and thats what I have. They have been dyed pink and blue,I think that is cruel. I am still having a problem with one chasing the others. I was told to put more decorations and plants in. Hope this works. Thanks everyone for all your help.

thats what i always saw them in, blue or pink, so thats why i asked if that what they were- the 2 i had chased each other too, but they only lived a few hours after i rbought them home, everythin was fine with the tank so i just assuemd it was the fish

I was just reading this thread and had a feeling that we were going to end up at dyed fish. Oh well, slwar555. Most people who buy them are unaware of this too. Hopefully they will be OK, some do survive. They will fade but IMO will look better that way. Take care of them, they have been through a lot at the hands of people who don't give a darn about their welfare. Now they are in the care of someone who does. I wouldn't worry about the aggression, most tetra will go through a period of establishing a pecking order but usually no harm is done. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I would suggest not using that particular LFS if they sell dyed fish. But thats just my opinion. Hopefully yours will be ok though, as noted above, they have had a rough time. My neon tetras still squabble and lurk in the plants alot of the time. They seem happy that way!
