tetra current?

do tetras like strong current? ..more specificly neon and lemon tetras

no, not strong current. gentle maybe...

My neons stay away from the current in my tank but theres plenty of places where the water isn't moving much

but my red-eye tetras (about 1.5") love swimming against it - They go really slowly "upsteam" then turn and shoot back down the other way - and with 6 of them its great to watch.

What is strong current? Are we talking a powerhead?

if the filter is causing a decent amount of current, then some floating plants will provide some shelter on the other side of the tank.
