has any one used these kind of things ina new tank setup? Ive basically had water in my tank for 3 days now only, no plants and no fish yet!

I haven't used them in a New Tank Set up but with an existing tank, i don't find them making much diffence in my own opinion......... best to wait for it to cycle or get some filter media off a friend that you could put into your own filter & maybe some gravel from an established tank to seed the new gravel with bacteria.
