Testing Tank Water

I was just wondering about my tetra test kit...If i rinse out the test vial in ordinary tap water will that affect the results of my test..Should i rinse them in conditioned water.. I think the readings are accurate..Just want to be sure so that im not wasteing my time

I use tap water also, and take a rolled up piece of paper towel to dry it out. Don't know if that's necessary, but to be on the safe side, that's what I do!

Good advise from all. Just make sure the tube is clean as well as the lid. I kept forgetting the lid and it threw off my ammonia readings.
