Are the paper test strips any good\accurate?

Every test kit I have seen is around £40.

I bought my API Freshwater Master test kit for £17.99 from pets at home. From what I have read on this forum most of the strips are just not worth it. Hope this helps,

test strips I have found to be rubbish and totally inacurate,
I have used most.

i used test strips then wheni realised they were pritty crap and extremly expsencive per test i got a master test (liquid version) loads better cant remember the brand but it cost £17

Hi

The brand I use is Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Inc it's a Master Liquid Test Kit. It tests High range Ph, Ammonia,Nitrite and Nitrate. Mine is for saltwater but you can get it for fresh water. It's realy accurate. My LFS ordered the Test kit for me and I paid about £ 22.00

Ian wanted the API professional test kit, forgot to check the price and just asked the lfs to order him one..... they got it for him and said the DISCOUNTED price was 85 quid!!!!!!!!! RRP is aparently 105! you get the normal api kit, GH and KH tests (i think, something along those lines anyway) a fancy box for them and a wall chart
