I have been using test kits with paper strips. Someone told me these weren't the best. What are the best ones in your experience and why? Also cost and where to get them? Internet, fish store, ect. The only places I have local are a petco and walmart.Thank you

API (Aquarium Pharmaceuticals) are by far the best. It's probably one of the cheapest liquid test sets you get here in the UK (compared to Tetra etc.) and not sure what they will cost in the US.

Any test kits are fine. Try getting a master test kit (they work out cheaper in the long run)

Hope this helps!

API master kit in the states is roughly $20 at petsmart.

none of the test kits treat water. They test the water.
What do you want to treat ?
