I stupidly bought the API test kit that was for freshwater but measures ammonia nitrite, nitrate and high range ph so will it work for marine

Yes, but you need different cards for Ammonia, Nitrate and possibly pH.

That wont work, for many reasons, the colour rendering of the camera wont be accurate, and the colour rendering on your computer monitor wont be either.

Email API, they'll normally send you a set out free of charge, they did for me and I live in the UK!
