Terrapins

Hi
i have an adult Mississippi map turtle that is 4 inces long and wont get any bigger,I have tried putting it in my tank and at the moment hasnt done anytheing to my Dwarf gourami pair and has only eaten a pest pond snail, is it okay to keep it in this two foot?

I'm going back years (Yawn)...when i was young my parents kept terrapins and thought it would be a good idea to put the goldfish in with them and i remember walking in to check on them and 2 of the terrapins were sharing the fish one had the head and the other had the tail ......so i would never keep fish with terrapins
