a year ago whilst snorkeling in corfu i found a broken terracotta urn at the bottom of the ionian, i smuggled it back into the country  intending to use it as a sort of ornament with shells and pebbles and stuff, this has all changed now with changing my tank over to marine. so.... can this go in my tank and would i need to pour boiling water over it etc, its already encrusted with stuff from being at the bottom of the sea for centuries lol, its been dry stored in my kitchen cupboard for the last year, also what about sea urchin shells?

Yes, you can use either. I suspect anything awful on it is long gone - not sure i would want to put boiling water on it. You could always use baby steriliser stuff in ro water
