my temp is usually 24.9 but in the past 2 days it has gone just over 27, this wont affect any livestock will it?

well, this is the hottest it has ever got, so i got windows and door open, and ceiling fan on.
dont think it effects it tho as it has a lid

Lift the flaps on the lid up to allow some air to flow over the top.

Nah, it is the hottest you are aware of............because you now have a tank

Ceiling fans are good, I have one in every room except the kitchen :good: as Liam suggests, as you have no jumpers you can lift the lids if it is getting too warm.

Sorry I altered my post - 81f isn't that hot but def don't want it to get anymore so. Make sure your heaters working correctly though just encase (I'm sure it's just the weather!)
And open the flaps!!

ill just open flaps when it is hot, and hopefully it doesnt go to hot, defo the weather.
normally i like hot weather, but not this hot

I'm loving it, just got back from canoeing! Lovely day!!

My temp fluctuates between 24-26 degrees but any hotter than 81 then get some ventilation for it. Just don't turn your thermostat down as when the sun's gone down and the tank lights are off you'll find it will drop by a couple of degrees.

Funnily enough I'm in the process of raising my hood by 4-5 inches to allow for ventilation and I'm gonna remove the diffuser off the hood to increase the intensity of the lighting.

Just a bit worried about my firefish getting adventurous! Lol
