Apollo went from no problems in the morning and he went to a tail that was 1/3 ribbons in 12 hours and this looks a lot like it. The ribbons later fell off. He is now missing 1/3 of his tail and it has spread to his bottom fin--on the belly. It is really discouraging because he looked like he was getting better with the tail and then he ended up with it in the lower fin. I change out 1/3 of the tank's water every day and add a pinch of salt too and the Melafix. I am still waiting to get any improvement. He has had it since we had him only a couple weeks and we got him from Walmart too.
