Teeny Tiny Betta Bowl

i just saw this same bowl in a magazine, and remembered this thread. Turns out that they are indeed 1 gallon, the minimum requirements for a betta. Still not suitable for goldfish im afraid.

Looks to me like it's for using a betta as a decoration.

I fail to see how its any differant than haveing a desk betta, as long as the water is clean and they are well fed they are pretty much happy, hardly demanding.

I hate seeing things like this...

Just because they can survive poor conditions doesn't mean they have to as decorations, they should be given the love and care you would expect for any other pet... T_T

I like to see betta's in tanks with a decent filter and heater (though a heater may not be required for some warmer states in the US, defo required here in the UK though!). Not cups, wine glasses, lily vases and purses... (? Spotted that on a signature today, they really exist? )...

How cruel some people can be...
