I have a bag of alder cones in the cupboard for my betta's tank. I use 3 or 4 in my tank (6 gallons). As they get old, bits fall off so that's when I replace them.

I’m excited. If you use them with your shrimp let me know if they seem to like them. I’m looking to get some shrimp eventually.
